Parvana's mother is so against bone digging is because it is inappropiate for her to dig up the bones of the dead just to get money.the arguments that the the family lead to the time parvana is still aloud to dig up the bones of the dead to get money is when noori said that we need the money and there is no other way to get lot's of money to feed the family .

They chose to stay in afghanistan because then they will be leaving all the friends they had made but if they left they would probably never see there friends again plus it was the fathers choice to stay.
